Buoyancy

The grade 3's and 4's spent the afternoon applying their knowledge of floating and sinking to making boats that were to hold the maximum numbers of pennies.

After the first try, our students went back to the drawing board to see if they could improve their designs.
One boat even held 58 pennies!

These kids sure do know about buoyancy and displacement!

Parents, students and Olivet School teachers love the Olivet community for its caring, home-like quality, very small class sizes and its rich academic program taught with a foundation in Christian values, if you have been looking for elementary education which combines the strength of top quality teaching with the individual attention and opportunities of a personalized learning community, then you too will love Olivet School.
